4. CALEDONIAN ROAD

We loved Andrew O’Hagan’s last novel the bittersweet Mayflies that looked at male frienship, his latest work Caledonian Road as the title implies has a broader canvas. A multi-person narrative structure that explores the intersecting lives of a group of North Londoners and in particular the relationship between an art historian and public intellectual called Campbell Flynn and his student Milo Mangasha. Lots of fun.
